Cognac, unlike the other three C, does not contain alkaloids. But ethyl alcohol, constituting at least 40 volume fractions of your glass, is the same causative agent of the central nervous system as all the above-listed delicacies. Ethanol acts as a vasodilator, and thus, in particular, promotes the flow of blood to the stomach, helping it to digest our meal. Not for nothing in all countries of the world it is customary to drink a glass of a noble strong drink, as a digestif, which helps digestion.
Good brandy is better to drink with a neutral cigar, and for good cigars there is a special cigar brandy.
For the “dominant” brandy fit a neutral cigar, from the Dominican Republic, for example. But for a good Havana cigar is better to find the so-called cigar cognac, but it is expensive …
In addition, cognac contains many other substances and compounds that in one way or another affect our body. For example, tannins, which brandy collects from the barrel, and which actively affect our vascular system, and hence on our body as a whole. So, in physiological terms, this combination is quite reasonable: allows us to keep small talk after a dense meal, and gives strength to provide signs of attention to beautiful ladies – instead of stupidly snoring, as demanded by nature after a good dinner.
If you have a weak heart, tachycardia, arrhythmia, or other disorders, you should by no means be zealous with 4C: all members of this quartet have a powerful influence on the central nervous system and the vascular system. In general, those who are under 50 should no longer be carried away by this divine combination. Unfortunately, our drinking traditions are largely vodka: drink glasses and liters. And, meanwhile, in cognac XO age there are so many tannins and tannins that even one portion will give incorrect indications from a cardiologist. As the saying goes, the Ministry of Health warns!
As you know, the main active principle of this plant, Nicitiana Tabaccum, from which the peak of the tobacco art is made, the cigar is an alkaloid nicotine, a powerful neurotransmitter that acts on the central nervous system as a stimulant. Nicotine in small doses provokes a surge of adrenaline, which dilates blood vessels, stimulates heartbeat. It also increases the amount of dopamine in the “pleasure center” – the brain, leading to slight relaxation and euphoria. By the way, nicotine also suppresses the feeling of hunger – this makes it ideal for completing the meal: even if I did not eat enough after dinner, the cigar signals that everything is complete – the movie is over!
These 3Cs do not allow us to fall asleep, our brain, which wants to switch off to stupid digestion, is slowed down and stirred up. Here everything excites and supports your attention – and the magical aroma of freshly ground and freshly brewed (preferably in the Turk, and not in vulgar coffee machines, and, God forbid, not soluble) coffee, languid and exciting feeling of melting chocolate in the mouth, divine a cigar in your hand, whose smoke flows smoothly and melancholy into the heavens, which plunges you into a state close to Nirvana. This is a psycho-emotional perception according to a stamp, already deeply stitched in the tracing of our sensations. At the same time, we do not think at all that there is a banal physiological explanation for this: the synergy of nicotine, caffeine and theobromine. And of course, brandy.
